Just over a year ago Whitesmore School recieved Govrnment funding under the Business Enterprise Scheme,
to invest in a business project. It was decided that a good venture would be a garden centre.
A piece of land near the entrance has been allocated by the school to be used for the Garden Centre.
Mr Worthington, the Garden Centre manager, has developed this land into a thriving small business which
sells plants to the general public and which has also made an impact at horticultural exhibitions in the region.
The garden centre has recieved coverage in the local press and on the television and is supported by all
the major banks.
